Artichoke Community Music online class led by Richard Colombo, $120 for five classes.

This fun class will take your playing and overall musicianship to a whole new level as you learn how to combine chords and melody to create beautiful instrumental solos of some of your favorite all time standards, classical, folk and pop songs. We will start with easy lead sheets that combine both music notation and tablature and explore there harmonic progressions through melody and chord construction.

In this class we’ll keep working on our right hand techniques for flamenco guitar including pulgar (thumb), arpeggio, rest stroke picado, rasgueo, and abanico chico. We’ll also continue to develop the material we have learned so far por Tangos. New students are welcome to join, videos of the June session are available for those who would like to review material already covered in the first session.

Classical, flamenco, or nylon string guitar required.
